Is there a charge for the assessment?Yes. It is a one time fee of $100. This fee covers the comprehensive evaluation of your child's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, allowing us to create a tailored learning plan that maximizes their progress. It also reflects our commitment to providing high-quality, professional services and helps to cover the time and resources invested in this crucial initial step. There is no commitment after this assessment is conducted. A detailed report of the results are provided. This fee is not included in session costs.

Is there a commitment or contract?Yes. Our tutoring service is dedicated to achieving real and tangible results, which requires a time commitment from both parents and children. Our primary objective is to help students who are falling behind reach their full potential. Consistent attendance, active participation, and regular practice are essential for making significant progress. Typically, we work with your child at the start of the school year and continue through the end of May.

What are your prices?Rate: $75 hourly. Minimum: 2 hours/$150 per week. Open Slots at the beginning of the school year: 8 Our pricing is based on your child's specific needs. After the initial assessment, we provide a detailed report outlining the number of hours per week required to achieve our goals. We recognize the busy schedules of parents and children today, but experience and results have shown that dedicating the appropriate amount of time significantly increases the likelihood of success. Each school year, we have 8 slots because we are focused on results and proper time allocation. Example: In June, Samantha, a second grader, tested at a first-grade level in math. This means that in September, Samantha will be one full grade level behind, missing approximately 216 hours of math instruction. To catch up, Samantha's family needs an aggressive intervention to prevent her from falling further behind. There are 40 weeks in the school year, and if her family opts for one hour of tutoring per week, she'll receive only 40 hours of instruction, covering about 19% of the gap. Given her learning style and pace, this is insufficient. We recommend a minimum of four hours of tutoring per week, supplemented with daily practice at no extra cost. This plan will cover approximately 74% of the lost instructional time, and with the additional practice, we can approach 100%. If there are no external factors, Samantha has a high chance of finishing the school year above grade level. This long-term, intensive approach will reduce the need for ongoing tutoring and help her become an independent learner.

Cancellation PolicyOur cancellation policy includes an early cancellation fee to maintain the quality and consistency of our tutoring services. This fee helps cover the time and resources we allocate to each student, allowing us to plan and schedule effectively. If you need to cancel your service, we require at least 30 days' notice. Our early cancellation fee is $600.

Homework Help? No. We currently do not offer homework help services. Erudite is focused on providing comprehensive learning support rather than homework help. Our approach is designed to build a strong foundation in the subjects we teach, helping students develop a deeper understanding of the material. While we encourage independent learning and critical thinking, our sessions are not structured to assist with specific homework assignments. This allows us to prioritize skill development and long-term academic growth.
